We encourage all employers to consider nominating a young procurement professional for the award this year!

Southbank VIC 3006

The CIPSA flagship Annual Conference will relocate to the new Crown Conference Centre, a brand new addition to the ever-growing Crown complex in Melbourne. This new international standard conference venue will accommodate the continuing growth in this annual flagship event and provide for even greater choice for delegates. This year's programme theme  - Managing Volatility - addresses the strategic professional agenda for procurement in the keynote plenary sessions, while providing delegates with real practical deliverables and learning points through the multi-streamed tactical seminars.

About the Conference Programme

The 6th Annual CIPSA Conference includes the addition of a fifth Seminar Stream. Endorsed by the Australian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC), the additional stream has been designed with the public sector in mind, but the content may still be of interest to all delegates.

Following the successful programme format of previous years, we commence and conclude each day with Plenary/Keynote sessions, all addressing the key theme of the conference – Managing Volatility.

The six streamed seminar sessions, with five seminars in each session, provide delegates with a wider choice of content than ever before. Whether you want to improve your “soft skills”, brush up your “hard skills”, learn from case studies or hear leading experts examine the big issues of the day, you will find something that will provide real benefit to you in your personal development and to your organisation’s procurement capability.

Networking Events

Of course, a key benefit in attending a conference such as this is the opportunity it affords to network with your peers and suppliers of relevant goods and services.

Lunch on both days will be served buffet-style in the Purchasing Exchange, allowing delegates the opportunity to browse the booths, renew old acquaintances and make new ones.

At the conclusion of formal proceedings on Day 1, drinks will be served in the Purchasing Exchange for an hour after the conference sessions close, before delegates head over to Crown Palladium for the main evening’s entertainment, The 4th CIPS Australasia Procurement Professional Awards Dinner.

The Awards Dinner will be preceded by a cocktail function in the Crown Palladium Atrium.
