CIPS SA Committee's Final Event for 2011

ProcureNet is delighted to be sponsoring the final CIPS SA Committee event for 2011, focussing on Capital Works and Infrastructure Procurement.

Contracting for capital works is a specialist field - we will unlock some of the secrets and techniques to the procurement approach and philosophy to help you deliver good practice to your organisation whether this is a field you practice in regularly or an area you would like to be able to take on the challenge.

Presentation Topics

CIPS SA Committee are pleased to share two presentations from experienced practitioners on contracting for capital works and infrastructure procurement:

Hard Dollar and Traditional Contracting & the Inclusion of Collaboration

Speaker: Luigi Rossi, Project Director for the Northern Expressway (DTEI).

Based on Luigi Rossi’s experience with two traditional contract environments that have collaborative elements injected into them (guaranteed maximum price (GMP) and Design and Construct (D&C) respectively), Luigi will comment and share best practice around how to bring collaborative overlays into environments that are not traditionally exposed to them.

Obtaining Value for Money on Service and Operational Contracts for Large Infrastructure Projects

Speaker: Kym Williams, Managing Director for Business and Risk Solutions

Kym Williams will use his extensive knowledge of the infrastructure industry to discuss the ways in which to manage service providers to obtain value for money on service and operational contracts for large infrastructure projects.

Whether you would like to learn more about Capital Procurement or you would simply like to demystify it - this is an event where you can take back to your business real learning’s and techniques that can be put into practice- enjoy nibbles and drinks afterwards and network with fellow professionals.
